Becky & Blake

Woodland AirBnb Wedding

Becky and Blake enjoyed a chill and connected AirBnb wedding with woodland vibes.

They hosted 24 people over a wedding weekend, complete with a ceremony on the grounds officiated by a dear friend and streamed live for extended loved ones. They celebrated afterward at a winery with speeches, personalized gifts, and glowsticks.

Becky and Blake checked into the AirBnb (a gorgeous lakeside cabin) the evening before and got settled in. There was a buzz of activity and excitement the morning of the wedding, but it was ultimately calm and relaxed. The wedding party snacked on chips and drinks while enjoying the AirBnb and spending time together. Becky and Blake exchanged gifts before the first look: jewelry for her, and a book of boudoir portraits for him.

The first look took place a couple of hours before the ceremony, allowing the couple to enjoy the grounds together and get portraits with their wedding party before the rest of their guests joined them.

One thing Becky and Blake knew they wanted from day one:  a quick ceremony! They aren't the types to dwell on sentimentalities in public, and wanted their fun personalities to shine through. They opted for one of their best friends to officiate, and he did a great job capturing their sweet, fun, and relaxed attitude.

Guests were greeted by some thoughtful signage to direct them around the grounds of the property, but overall we wanted to keep the space minimalist to allow the natural beauty to shine through. Becky walked down to the altar space from the house to End of the World by The Dirty Heads- an homage to a wedding taking place during a pandemic. Their processional song was perhaps the coolest song ever- I Believe in a Thing Called Love by The Darkness.

We streamed the whole ceremony to extended family and friends, and immediately afterward Becky and Blake guided everyone to a champagne table set up for a toast. They said thanks to their guests for joining them, toasted, and enjoyed the property for a couple of hours before heading to the winery for dinner.

The first half of the reception took place at Cedar Ridge Winery. The couple got photos in the beautiful vineyards while guests got settled into the private room. We repurposed the ferns from their reception as a simple backdrop and used wood rounds and floating candles to adorn the tables.

Dinner ended with speeches, and Becky and Blake concluded this portion of the day with a surprise for everyone- handmade gifts! Becky owns a jewelry making business and gave everyone a personalized keepsake with their name on it. It was a huge hit!

After bellies were full, everyone caught the sunset and played with glowsticks to officially conclude the evening with one more set of portraits and candid photos. Becky and Blake went back to the rental house with their wedding party and played games until late into the night.
